My name is Krista Griffiths, of K Pawz Creations and I live in
beautiful British Columbia, Canada, with my husband and three
dogs. We have also been adopted by multiple cats due to our
rescue work with a local animal rescue. I started creating in
2006, beginning with teddy bear patterns, but quickly got
frustrated with never being able to get them to look like the
original picture so moved on to designing my own.
By the end of 2006 I had moved on to creating other
animals and found my love for soft
sculpture dogs. I am always trying to improve and devise
new techniques for more realistic features, and my brain is
always spinning with ideas.

I have won multiple awards in
my short time as a soft sculpture artist, including TOBY
Industries choice wins in 200 ,
2009 and 2010, a
Golden Teddy Nomination in 2008, an URSA Major win in 2008,
along with URSA first and second place wins in 2009.
I have recently entered into the world of clay sculpting, I
wanted to make the tiny little human babies that are so
adorable, but that didn’t work so well, the animals have my
heart so all my clay sculpts now are puppies and other animals.
Some of my clay sculpts are all clay with soft bodies sculpted
out of Pro sculpt by me, and others are modified Reborn babies
enhanced with clay; this is the technique I will be teaching
here at the university. |
