Fran Parrigan- Meehan ... Faculty of Dolls Instructor

Hi, I’m Fran Parrigan – Meehan.  I’m originally from Leitchfield, Kentucky.  I now live in Las Vegas, Nevada.  I’m married to a wonderful man named Ken who supports me 100% + in my doll adventures. We have 8 kids and 19 grandchildren. They are all wonderful.  My husband and I own a perfume shop called “Perfume Palace. I only work the Perfume shop when needed.  I’m dedicated to my doll business.

My Mama taught me how to make my own original dolls when I was 5 years old.  To this day, I’m still designing and creating my own original dolls. I wish she were here to see what she instilled in me.   

I create in several different mediums such as; cloth, paper, polymer clay, Paperclay, wire and any other mediums I choose to experiment with.  I love learning and sharing. 

I professionally teach my doll making at conferences, doll clubs, online classes and to students in my studio.  I love traveling to teach.

 I took several semesters of Art Courses in College.  I recommend Art Courses to anyone interested in creating.  Love learning and Art Courses teach you a lot.  

I have received numerous awards for my dolls.  I have been published in several magazines.  I also am published in Patti Medaris Culea latest book; “Creative Cloth Explorations” adventures in fairy-inspired fiber art.   

I am Cofounder of the Las Vegas Silver Doll-Ers doll club in 2002.  I served as president through 2009.  Now I can sit back and enjoy the doll club more.  It gives me more time for creating.  Love our doll club. 

I enjoy teaching my dolls and techniques to others.  Making a doll is like having a blank canvas; one never knows what your imagination is going to let you create.
