I Love My Yorkie ! Next Class Begins July 31st, 2010

Who doesn't love a cuddly Yorkie?  The Yorkshire Terrier is a small dog breed  developed in the 1800s in the historical area of Yorkshire in England. The defining features of the breed are its small size and its silky blue and tan coat.

In this workshop, we're going to create a life size, standing Yorkshire Terrier, complete with wired armature, paw pads, specialty nose and realistic grooming. We'll be taking a look at the show coat as well as the puppy cut, so you'll be able to choose the style of Yorkie your dog will be.

The American Kennel Club specifies that the Yorkie should not exceed 7 pounds.  Our Yorkie is based on a live model named Holly. She weighs in at 4 pounds, 10 ounces.

This workshop is for intermediate and advanced students with strong machine and hand sewing skills.

This Yorkie can be made from synthetic fur or mohair. Genuine fur is not recommended.
