Have you ever wondered how to create a beautiful open mouth teddy bear that actually looks happy to be alive?

We will cover the basics of open mouth bear making with an extraordinary old world teddy.   Then, we'll cover in detail three techniques for creating fabulous smiles on our bears.  Learn how to needle sculpt in just the right way to create an endearing face.

Additional hints, tips and techniques will also be presented.

Finally, we'll round out the course with a section on casting teeth using your own molds.  We'll make bears with teeth will look like they want to be your friends...not like they want to growl at you or eat you!

This course  is designed for intermediate and advanced students who already have a solid understanding of the mechanics of bear making.  A pattern is provided, however, given the multitude of choices that you can make when you create your faces, your bear will be as individual as its maker!

The course is delivered as  a step by step conversational style scrolling text.  The text is delivered in Chapters, which are opened one at a time over a 45 day period.

The SMILE!  course is an instructor led course with specific start and end dates.

There is NO supply kit.  Students are required to obtain their own supplies.  A full supply kit and recommendations for supplies are provided in the class.
