Login Instructions for Your Workshops & The Agora

Dear Student,

Thank you for joining us in a workshop!   This page outlines all of the login instructions for accessing your class and the  Agora.   Please read  this page very carefully.  You may also choose to print it for future reference.

There are Two Sets of Usernames and Passwords that you will need to access everything  for your class.

For the Online, Information Portion of the Class Itself you were  able to set your own username and password when you registered. Mark this username and password down in a safe place. You will use it for all classes here at EbearZ.

To Access Your Class(s):

- Go to www.ebearz.com
- Click the Student Login Link in the side navigation bar
- Click on the Current Course that you wish to enter.
That's it.  You should now see the index page of your  workshop.  If you do not see it, please contact the admin.
NOTE: You will not be able to access the class until it's start date. Prior to the start date, upcoming courses will show under your 'Upcoming Courses' list on your Student Login page.  After the class ends, it will be listed under 'Previous Courses.'

To Access the Agora:

You'll find the link to the Agora on the left side of each of the EbearZ website  pages as well as at the top of each page.  Only students who have registered and paid for classes will have Agora access.

The EbearZ Agora is a separate program that requires a separate login from the online, instructional portion of the workshop.

Your username is the same as the one you use for the online information.
If you are accessing the Agora for the very first time, your password will be: teddy

Upon your first login, you will be prompted to change the password. We suggest you change it to the same password you use to access the online, instructional portion of the workshop.  Once your new password is set, you will not have to reset it for future workshops.

Once in the Agora, you will find the following items in the left navigation:

The Shoutbox: This is not a forum. This box is used for announcements intended for al students to see. Everyone is welcome to use the shout box, but please do not use it for posts specific to your workshop.

The Forums: Scroll down the left navigation and click on LIST FORUMS.  A list of all the ongoing classes will appear.  Choose the name of your class to enter the discussion pertaining to your class. There may be more than one page of forums. Go to page 2 (located at the bottom of the list) to see further forums.  In the forum, you can post questions, photos and chat with your fellow classmates.  The forum is one of the best features of the online workshop, so please don't be shy in using it!

The Student Photo Gallery: Here you can post photos of your finished works for everyone to see. Please bear in mind the size restriction for photos.

The Library: Periodically, we post additional articles, and information in the library. As well, you'll find a number of recipes that are fun to make and eat while you create.

The Multimedia Gallery: Here we'll post free patterns, video tutorials and other multimedia content.

Your Desk:  This is a students' personal page within the Agora. Under my preferences you can set your email, reset your password, or restrict your privacy settings. You can also add an avatar that will appear in all of your forum posts.  AT your desk you'll further find a notepad, calendar, and a place where you can follow all of your posts. You can even create a personal profile page, and send private messages.

The email used in each of your Agora accounts is the one supplied on your registration form.   Please do  not change this.  Once your Agora account is set up, it  will remain the same for all future classes.  No need to  reset the information each time you take a class.
If you have any difficulties logging in, please let the admin know at bears135@shaw.ca

Be sure to state your full name, and the  class that you are referring to, along with usernames and  passwords that you are using in any email correspondence.

 'See you in class!'
